So after first acquiring a small freshwater setup - with livestock of a three-spot Gourami and four Catfish, we decided to look at venturing into the world of marine fish keeping. After reading a few marine books and acquiring a bit of knowledge we decided it was time to purchase our first marine aquarium.

We made many visits to different fish shops (but there was some we hadn't found out about until later) we finally decided on "A Drop in the Ocean" because we thought they gave good information at the time and were the most helpful, (even after the 4th visit to the shop).

Originally we were going to use one of the aquariums that already have a filtration system and inbuilt lights and heaters, but after visiting "A Drop in the Ocean" and seeing their sump systems and the hand-built cabinets that are supplied, we decided on a sump system.

Many thanks most go to "The Abyss" for helping us out when we had a mjor disaster through bad advice and not given all the right equipment, with out them we wouldn't have known what to do. Thanks to them we now have a beautiful marine tank with healthy and vibrant fish.
